DrinkLedger Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 3, 2026

The short version: DrinkLedger collects no data. Everything you log stays on your device. There is no server, no account, no analytics, and no advertising.

What the app stores, and where

Everything you enter (drinks, alcohol-free days, presets, settings) is stored in a local database on your device. It is included in your normal device backups (iCloud or computer backups managed by Apple), which I have no access to. Nothing is ever transmitted to me or to any third party.

What the app does not do

DrinkLedger contains no analytics or tracking of any kind, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party code that communicates over the network. The app makes no network requests of its own.

Apple Health

If you enable the optional Apple Health sync, the app writes your logged drinks to Apple Health as alcoholic-beverage samples. This is write-only: DrinkLedger never reads any data from Apple Health. Health data is managed by Apple on your device and is subject to Apple's privacy policy. You can revoke access or delete the written data in the Health app at any time.

Purchases

The optional Pro unlock is a one-time purchase processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. I never see your payment details. Apple provides me with anonymous, aggregated sales statistics only.

Export

You can export your complete history as CSV or JSON at any time. Exports are created on your device and only leave it if you choose to share them.

Changes

If a future version of the app ever changes any of the above, this policy will be updated before that version ships, with the date at the top reflecting the change.
